MobiMed Life – Standalone defibrillators for everyone
Defibrillator
A defibrillator is a crucial tool for monitoring and resuscitating a heart that is not beating correctly. It is an essential product for anyone who wants to provide effective first aid and receive qualified guidance in a serious situation. Early access to proper care not only increases the chances of survival but also reduces the risk of oxygen deprivation, which can lead to serious brain damage.
Using a defibrillator increases the chance of survival in the event of a cardiac arrest. If the device is activated within three minutes of the arrest, there is a 70% chance of restoring a normal heart rhythm. Increasing the availability of defibrillators can save more lives. Fortunately, modern defibrillators are now easier to use, portable, and affordable. Reanibex 100, which is part of the defibrillator series by MobiMed Life, is designed to be used anywhere, by anyone. All you need to do is open the defibrillator lid and follow the clear voice instructions when a life-saving intervention is required.
Ortivus offers defibrillators that prioritize patient safety, high construction quality, and ergonomics. Ortivus offers defibrillators for many locations, contexts and needs, from private individuals to specialist care.

Life-Saving Technology: The Defibrillator Explained
A defibrillator is a medical device that can quickly diagnose and treat a life-threatening condition called cardiac arrest. When someone experiences cardiac arrest, their heart goes into a dangerous rhythm called ventricular fibrillation. The defibrillator can analyze the heart’s electrical activity by attaching defibrillation electrodes to the patient’s chest. If ventricular fibrillation is detected, the defibrillator delivers an electric shock to the heart, which can restore a normal heart rhythm. This process is known as defibrillation, and it’s a crucial step in saving the life of someone experiencing cardiac arrest. Defibrillators are often referred to as AEDs (automated external defibrillators) or PADs (public access defibrillators), and they’re an essential tool for emergency responders, healthcare professionals, and anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency. In an emergency situation, compressions must be given before access to a defibrillator. Read more about Cardiopulmonary resuscitation on 1177.
Simplicity meets lifesaving with the Reanibex 100 defibrillator
Using a defibrillator can significantly increase the chance of survival when a person is unconscious and not breathing normally. Along with calling 999 and starting cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the Reanibex 100 defibrillator can be used by anyone, anywhere without medical training. Using a defibrillator will not harm someone and it is always better to err on the side of caution in case of a cardiac emergency. Its user-friendly voice command system guides you through the process, recommending if a shock needs to be given or to continue with CPR. The built-in rate sensor also ensures the correct compression rate (100-120 compressions per minute) is maintained. With technology advancing rapidly, the Reanibex 100 defibrillator is small, flexible, and easy to use.
Although it’s not mandatory, it’s generally recommended that those who will use the defibrillator have completed CPR training. Combining the defibrillator with CPR can act as an important central support in a revival event. Reanibex 100 is suitable for both adults and children, and the device can be easily switched to child mode with a single button press.
A defibrillator is often used in combination with cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The defibrillator guides the user through the entire cardiopulmonary resuscitation scenario via a clear voice prompt, icons and a pacemaker. This mode adjusts the energy levels and CPR guidance to fit a child’s smaller body mass, without requiring any replacement of defibrillation electrodes.
Remember, performing CPR and using a defibrillator in combination is crucial during a cardiac arrest event. Learn more about how the Reanibex 100 can help save lives today.

Important Information: Finding & Registering Your Local Defibrillator.
Ortivus is proud to partner with The British Heart Foundation to register all our defibrillators on the national defibrillator network in the UK, called The Circuit.
We encourage all our clients to do the same.
The Circuit provides a nationwide overview of where defibrillators can be found, allowing emergency services to quickly locate them in the event of a cardiac emergency.
Registering your defibrillator on The Circuit is a crucial step in ensuring that it can be accessed by those who need it most. Bystander defibrillation is received by less than 5% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest cases, and ambulance services are not aware of tens of thousands of defibrillators. However, by registering your defibrillator, you can increase the chances of it being used when needed. Being aware of the location of a defibrillator can be a crucial factor in saving a life or not, in case of a cardiac emergency. To find your nearest defibrillator, visit https://www.defibfinder.uk/ or check the web address of your local ambulance service. Free online CPR training is available at the link provided: Free online CPR training For more information from the British Heart Foundation see these links: How a cardiac arrest works What is a heart attack Protecting your community also protects you. How Defibrillators Save Lives: A Step-by-Step Guide
Different defibrillators may have varying functions, but they all involve attaching defibrillation electrodes to the chest of a person experiencing a suspected or confirmed cardiac arrest. A fully automatic defibrillator will detect if a shock is needed and guide you through the process, providing clear instructions at each stage. With a semi-automatic defibrillator, the user presses a button to deliver an electric shock, which is administered based on the reading of the heart’s rhythm. It’s important to note that a defibrillator only works when the heart is still fibrillating and not when it has stopped completely.
Fibrillation is a common occurrence in cardiac arrests (8 out of 10), and having a defibrillator on hand can be crucial in saving a person’s life. Defibrillators have been in use since the 1960s and modern defibrillators differ from their older counterparts in that they are biphasic. This means that the shock goes in both directions through the chest, which reduces the risk of burns or damage to the heart muscle.
If you’re interested in having a defibrillator on hand, consider purchasing one from Ortivus.
Our team can help you choose the best option for your needs and ensure that you are prepared for any emergency situation. Through the application, you can register as a volunteer lifesaver and receive an alarm if a situation of suspected or confirmed cardiac arrest occurs in your vicinity. It is also good to visit the website Hjärtstartarregister.se where you can make yourself aware of the nearest defibrillator.
How to use a Defibrillator:
Using a defibrillator is easy, and you don’t need any training. Just follow these simple steps: Place the defibrillator next to the patient, open the lid and follow the instructions. By now CPR should have been started by a second person if possible.
Open the electrode packet and place the electrodes on the patient’s chest, one on each side, as shown on the defibrillator.
The device will instruct you when to stop performing chest compressions and wait for the defibrillator to analyse the patient’s heart rhythm. If a shock is needed, the defibrillator will prompt you to press the shock button (semi-automatic defibrillator). With an automatic defibrillator, the shock will be delivered without you having to do anything. The device will instruct you not to touch the patient during the heart analyses or when a shock is delivered. The defibrillator will let you know when the shock has been given and whether to continue performing CPR. Keep performing chest compressions until the patient shows signs of life or the defibrillator tells you to stop so it can analyse the heartbeat again. It’s important to remember that defibrillators only shock when needed, so you cannot accidentally shock someone. Just turn it on and follow the instructions, and you could save a life.
